School Holiday Programme: Creative Week -Handicraft and Food Art (2-6 June 2014)

We are pleased to introduce the School Holiday Programme to our Q-dees children and their friends or siblings where they will have the opportunity to have fun learning to do 5 handicraft and food art craft activities.

Create an original masterpiece of food art and handicraft is indeed fantastic fun for kids. Craft for kids encourages them to be creative and allows them to explore ideas or concepts and then express it by making something to keep, entertain others with or simply look at for visual pleasure.

Creative Week : Handicraft and Food Art Workshop

In this action-packed holiday programme, children will do 5 handicraft activities and 5 food art activities. Details are shown in the schedule

TESTIMONIAL FOR TAMAN DESA Q-DEES

The Q-dees journey for both my daughters has been an exciting and fruitful experience. My first – Shereena Segura, when she first started was timid and shy. Getting her to attend classes for the first 3 months was a constant heartache to a mother as she was always crying and it seemed difficult for her to part from her comfort zone. However with the assistance of the caring and patient teachers, she slowly opened up and became a confident girl as she is today. My second – Jemima Rimiah, when she first started was lacking in confidence. As with my eldest, she was given equal attention, assistance and pastoral care from the experienced teachers. Indeed, spending their first 3 years in Q-dees has helped them with their confidence level and interpersonal skills.

Their years in Q-dees have kick-started their love for reading and learning. When Shereena entered school, she did not have to struggle for reading, writing and comprehension in English or Bahasa Malaysia as she was already well-trained in Q-dees. She coped well in her first two years of schooling. As for Jemima who will start Year 1 in 2016, we believe that she would be able to cope well too as like her sister. Without a doubt, Taman Desa Q-dees is a pre-school center that would continue to nurture young minds for many more years to come.

We would like to thank the dedicated principal and teachers of Taman Desa Q-dees for providing such a good platform for both Shereena and Jemima in their early years of education and we know it is definitely a place where we have etched sweet marks in our hearts and memories forever.

"It has been one year he studied in Q-dees Taman Desa in which we saw him enjoyed very much, making friends, developing himself and I believe having lots of fun times with the teachers and friends. There have been a tremendous change to him that we saw when he studied in Q-dees in which he enjoyed so much. Making him to know alphabets and numbers was previously a big challenge to us and Q-dees has accomplish it which I believe was in the best effort and patience of the teachers.

As parents also, we do cherish the memories that Q-dees brought to us and having it to share it together with Isyraf is something that we could never forget. This has been one of the sweetest memories we’ve had as parents in our life and so is Isyraf.

We would like to thank the teachers in Q-Dees Taman Desa for their dedication and patience with our children. When we transferred our older son, Aron (6-year old) from another kindergarten, he was struggling with Mandarin.

It was so difficult for Aron because we, his parents are not able to read or write in Mandarin. While we had already applied for him to attend Chong Wen primary school, we were planning to transfer him to a national school in Taman Desa.

But to our surprise, Aron had dramatically improved in his Mandarin within a month of attending Q-Dees Taman Desa Centre. Also, his class teacher had recommended excellent Mandarin computer aids, which helped us to continue teaching Aron.

Our younger son Amos (3-year old) seems to be a late developer in speech, so other kindergartens had suggested a play school for him. Because he cannot speak yet, he needed some help in going to the toilet.

Q-Dees accepted him and the teachers continued to help Amos even though he is slow in learning to speak. After less than a year, he has improved, including reading some words and pronouncing alphabets and numbers.

If we did not have the encouragement of the teachers, we would have just placed him in a play school which would have further slowed Amos’ development.
